lost + found
Did you know that right here in Omaha, there are hundreds of women being sexually exploited each day? Under just one man and his employees, 80 women are kept in slavery and forced through blackmail, coercion, and violence to perform sexual acts with various subjects. And this is just one trafficking ring operating here in our backyard.
For the second time, The Market Church is calling the women of Omaha together for Lost & Found, a ladies night. Join us on March 7th at 7pm as we enjoy a cultural evening of local art and music, a variety of goods and services donated by local businesses and artists in our silent auction, and the Omaha’s Got Taste showcase of local food.
All of the proceeds from the silent auction and any donations gathered from Lost & Found, a ladies night, will benefit The Market Church’s new ministry partner, Brooke Carlson and the Call to Freedom Project in their efforts to end local sex trafficking.
We are excited to be hosting Brooke and a number of other agencies Saturday night as well as Stephen Patrick O’ Meara who practiced as an Assistant United States Attorney for 25 years and served as prosecutor for the FBI-led Omaha Child Exploitation Task Force from January 2010 to June of 2014. Today he is an avid speaker against human trafficking and a member of numerous anti-trafficking task forces.
We hope that you will join us on March 7th to learn more and Join the Fight.
